Fencing in Buderim

Buderim is built on a hill, and it shows up in almost every fence line we quote here. We build Colorbond, timber, slat screening, gates and retaining walls that follow the ground properly instead of fighting it — from a local crew, with a free on-site measure-up.

The Buderim bit

Sloping blocks are the norm up here

Buderim sits on an escarpment, so flat boundaries are the exception. That changes how a fence has to be built, and it is the single thing most quotes get wrong.

Stepped or raked panels

On a fall we either step the panels down in even increments or rake them to follow the ground. Done properly you get a straight top line and no gaps underneath for pets to get through.

Retaining and fencing together

Where the fall is steep, a low sleeper wall along the boundary is usually neater and cheaper than trying to solve it with fence panels alone. We build both, so it is one crew and one quote.

Access and hand-digging

Plenty of Buderim blocks have tight side access, established gardens or rock close to the surface. We look at access at the measure-up so the price you get is the price that holds.

What we build

Fencing we install around Buderim

Colorbond fencing

The most common pick on the Coast. Full colour range, stepped or raked to suit the slope.

Timber fencing

Treated pine and hardwood, including good-neighbour fences that look the same from both yards.

Retaining walls

Timber and concrete sleeper walls — often the right answer on a Buderim fall.

Aluminium & slat screening

Privacy screening and slat panels where you want airflow and a cleaner modern look.

Premium feature fencing

Feature frontages where the fence is part of the street appeal, not just a boundary.

Gates & automation

Pedestrian and driveway gates, including automation on sloping driveways.

Questions

Buderim fencing questions

Do you do fencing in Buderim?

Yes. Buderim sits right in the middle of our patch. We are a local crew working from Deception Bay up to Coolum and west to Maleny, so Buderim jobs are a short run for us and easy to get to for a free measure-up.

Can you fence a sloping Buderim block?

Yes, and it comes up a lot here. Buderim is built on a hill, so very few boundaries are flat. We step or rake the panels to follow the slope so it looks neat and there are no big gaps underneath. Where the fall is steeper, a low retaining wall along the fence line is often the tidier fix, and we can do both in the one job.

Do you build retaining walls as well as fences?

We do. On sloping blocks the retaining and the fence are really one job, and doing them together saves you paying two trades to work around each other. We build timber sleeper and concrete sleeper walls.

What does a fence cost in Buderim?

Every yard is different, so we come out and give you a price after a free measure-up. It comes down to the length, the height, the number of ends and corners, and what the ground is doing. Slope, access and any retaining all move the number, which is why we would rather look at it than guess.

Who pays for a boundary fence?

In Queensland a shared boundary (dividing) fence is generally split 50/50 between you and your neighbour under the Neighbourhood Disputes (Dividing Fences and Trees) Act. We can quote it so both sides can see exactly what they are agreeing to.

Do you remove the old fence?

Yes, and we prefer to. Our fee includes full demolition and disposal, ready for your new fence to go in.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. CoasTrade holds QBCC licence 15544859 and we are fully insured. Fencing work over $3,300 in Queensland legally needs a licensed contractor.
